Domain Registration Agreement
Last updated: 29 August 2026 · Agreement version: 2026-08-29
Important Notice: Wrybe provides domain management as a reseller and platform provider. Wrybe is not an ICANN-accredited registrar unless we expressly state otherwise. Domain registrations made through Wrybe are sponsored by Openprovider where applicable and are also governed by applicable registry rules, ICANN policies, Openprovider terms, Wrybe platform policies, and law.
This Agreement explains the terms that apply when you search for, register, renew, transfer, configure, or manage domain names and DNS records through the Wrybe platform.
Wrybe provides integrated domain management as part of the unified platform, including registration workflows, renewal management, registrant information handling, transfer controls, DNS records, nameserver delegation, DNSSEC where supported, and domain connection workflows for websites, applications, APIs, and other services hosted or managed on Wrybe.
For each version presented for acceptance, Wrybe will retain an immutable agreement snapshot or cryptographic content hash together with the accepted version, acceptance URL, IP address, and acceptance time so that the accepted text can be reconstructed or verified.
1. Overview
This Domain Registration Agreement (“Agreement”) forms part of the terms between Wrybe, Inc. (“Wrybe”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the person or organization using Wrybe domain services (“you”, “your”, “Registrant”, or “Customer”).
Wrybe offers domain management directly within the Wrybe platform. This includes domain search, registration, renewal, transfer management, DNS configuration, nameserver management, DNSSEC where supported, and domain connection workflows for websites, applications, APIs, and other services hosted or managed on Wrybe.
The purpose of this Agreement is to clearly explain your obligations and Wrybe’s operational rights when domain names are purchased, registered, renewed, transferred, or managed through the platform.
2. Definitions
3. Wrybe’s reseller role and registrar of record
Wrybe is a reseller and domain-management provider. Wrybe integrates domain registration, renewal, transfer, DNS, and connection workflows into the Wrybe platform, but Wrybe is not itself an ICANN-accredited registrar unless we expressly state that our status has changed.
Openprovider is the sponsoring registrar or registrar of record for domain registrations processed through Wrybe where applicable. Registrations are additionally governed by Openprovider’s applicable domain registration agreement, applicable registry terms, ICANN policies, and other rules that apply to the relevant top-level domain.
- You can identify the registrar of record by checking the domain’s WHOIS/RDDS registration data, registry lookup service, or the registrar/status information shown in Wrybe where available.
- You may also contact Wrybe Support to confirm the registrar of record for a domain managed through Wrybe.
- For ICANN educational material, please review ICANN’s Registrant Benefits and Responsibilities.
- Openprovider’s legal materials are available from Openprovider Legal.
4. Eligibility and authority
You may register or manage a domain through Wrybe only if you have legal authority to do so. If you act on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to this Agreement and related domain policies.
- You must provide truthful and complete account, billing, and registrant information.
- You must not register or use a domain for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, infringing, or policy-violating activity.
- You represent that registration and use of each domain does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.
- You are responsible for all actions performed through your Wrybe account and by your Authorized Users, including domain purchases, DNS changes, nameserver changes, renewal settings, transfer-code requests, and transfer approvals.
- Some top-level domains may have additional eligibility requirements, residency rules, document checks, naming restrictions, or manual registry procedures.
5. Domain registration
Domain registration requests submitted through Wrybe are subject to availability, sufficient Wrybe account credit, successful registrar and registry processing, acceptance by the relevant registry, and applicable policy checks. A domain is not guaranteed until the registration is completed and confirmed in the Wrybe platform.
5.1 Availability and final confirmation
Search results, suggested names, and pricing displayed in the interface may change before checkout or completion. Registry systems can update quickly, and a domain may become unavailable before registration is finalized.
5.2 Registration term
Domain names are registered for the term selected at checkout, subject to the minimum and maximum periods allowed by the relevant registry. Registration does not create ownership of the domain name in perpetuity; it creates a time-limited registration right that must be renewed.
5.3 Current product limitations
Wrybe currently supports standard ASCII domain registrations only. Internationalized domain names, premium domain registrations, premium transfers, and automated transfer-in for extensions that require additional registry forms or manual registry approval are not currently supported through standard self-service checkout.
5.4 Registrar or registry corrections
Wrybe, Openprovider, the applicable registry, or ICANN may correct registration mistakes, technical errors, policy errors, or administrative errors where permitted or required by applicable rules.
6. Registrant data and WHOIS accuracy
You are responsible for providing and maintaining accurate registrant, administrative, technical, and billing contact information. This may include legal name, organization, postal address, email address, phone number, country, and other information required by Wrybe, Openprovider, the applicable registry, ICANN policy, or law.
- You must update changed domain contact information within seven days after the change occurs.
- You must review and correct domain contact information when requested by Wrybe, Openprovider, a registry, ICANN, or another authorized compliance recipient.
- Failure to respond for more than 15 days to an accuracy inquiry may be treated as a material breach and may result in suspension, cancellation, transfer denial, deletion, or other action permitted by applicable policy.
- You must complete verification requirements following registration, transfer, relevant contact changes, or other events that require verification.
- You acknowledge that inaccurate registration data can lead to verification failure, suspension, transfer denial, cancellation, or deletion of a domain.
Registration data may be used to register and administer domains, verify contact details, process renewals and transfers, comply with registrar, registry and ICANN requirements, address disputes, meet escrow and compliance obligations, and respond to lawful requests. Recipients may include Wrybe, Openprovider, registry operators, ICANN, data escrow providers, dispute providers, compliance vendors, and other recipients required by applicable law or domain policy.
If you provide personal data about another person, you represent that you have the authority and consent required to provide that data and to allow it to be used for domain registration, verification, publication or redaction, escrow, compliance, and related purposes.
Some registrant information may be published in WHOIS or registration data directory services unless privacy protection, redaction, or masking is available and permitted for the applicable domain extension.
7. WHOIS privacy and registration data publication
Wrybe enables WHOIS privacy, redaction, or masking automatically where permitted and supported by the applicable domain extension, registrar, registry, and law. Privacy protection is not available for every domain extension or registrant type and may be removed or limited where required by policy, law, dispute process, registry rules, or registrar requirements.
Even where public data is redacted, registration data may still be processed and disclosed to Wrybe, Openprovider, registry operators, ICANN, escrow providers, dispute providers, compliance recipients, and other lawful recipients as required to provide domain services and meet domain-policy obligations.
8. Renewals and expiration
You are responsible for ensuring that domain names are renewed before they expire. Wrybe’s current renewal model uses Wrybe account credit rather than direct card charging at the time of renewal.
8.1 Automatic renewal model
When a registration activates, Wrybe auto-renew is enabled by default in Wrybe where supported. Openprovider auto-renew is kept disabled. Wrybe begins attempting one-year renewal processing approximately 30 days before the domain’s expiration date.
- Renewal requires sufficient Wrybe account credit and an account in good standing.
- Renewal price is recalculated at the then-current provider price, plus applicable currency conversion, taxes, fees, and Wrybe markup.
- Wrybe debits your wallet only after the registrar or provider confirms that the renewal has been completed.
- Wrybe may send renewal notices including 30-day, 7-day, 1-day, funds-required, renewal-success, and expiration notices.
- If Wrybe account credit is insufficient, renewal may fail unless you add funds in time and the domain remains eligible for renewal.
8.2 Expired domains
If a domain expires, websites, applications, APIs, email routing, DNS, and other services connected to that domain may stop working. An expired domain may enter grace, redemption, pending delete, release, auction, or other states according to registry and registrar rules.
8.3 Redemption and recovery
Self-service redemption, restoration, and post-expiration recovery checkout are not currently available in Wrybe. If a domain has expired, you must contact Wrybe Support. Recovery is not guaranteed and may require registrar, registry, or manual processing. Once a domain is deleted, released, auctioned, transferred, or registered by another party, Wrybe may not be able to restore it.
9. Transfers
You may request eligible domain transfers through Wrybe, subject to registry rules, domain lock status, authorization codes, identity checks, ICANN transfer policies, registrar requirements, and any applicable waiting periods.
9.1 Transfer-in requests
To transfer a domain into Wrybe, you may need to unlock the domain, obtain an authorization code, approve transfer notices, ensure that the domain is eligible for transfer, and complete any required verification. Automated transfer-in is currently limited to supported extensions that do not require additional registry forms or manual registry procedures.
9.2 Transfer-out requests
You may request to transfer an eligible domain away from Wrybe, provided your account is in good standing, the domain is not subject to a valid lock, dispute, court order, unpaid balance, policy restriction, or other permitted denial reason, and applicable transfer requirements are satisfied.
Transferring registrar custody away from Wrybe does not automatically remove Wrybe DNS records, connected sites, hosted applications, SSL settings, or other platform resources. You remain responsible for disconnecting or reconfiguring related Wrybe services if you no longer want them to operate.
9.3 Transfer locks and Change of Registrant
Domains may be locked for security, newly registered status, recent transfer status, Change of Registrant events, pending verification, unresolved billing issues, dispute process, registry rules, or other reasons permitted by registry or ICANN policy.
You authorize Wrybe, where permitted, to act as Designated Agent for Change of Registrant requests made through the Wrybe platform. A Change of Registrant may trigger confirmation requirements and a 60-day transfer lock unless an available opt-out applies and is properly selected before the change is completed.
10. Authorized Users and sensitive registrar actions
Domains are high-value assets. Authorized Users, including invited tenant members where permissions allow, may be able to perform registrar-level or domain-impacting actions such as requesting or resetting transfer codes, approving transfer-out, changing nameservers, updating DNS records, configuring DNSSEC, changing renewal settings, or connecting domains to Wrybe resources.
- The account owner is responsible for actions taken by Authorized Users.
- You should grant domain management access only to trusted users who need it.
- Wrybe may require additional verification, step-up authentication, email confirmation, or permission checks for high-risk actions.
- You must promptly remove access for users who no longer need domain management permissions.
11. DNS, nameservers, and DNSSEC
Wrybe provides DNS management tools to help you connect domains to Wrybe-hosted websites, applications, APIs, and external services. Supported records may include A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, CAA, and other record types made available in the platform.
Wrybe’s DNS service may use globally replicated authoritative DNS infrastructure. Wrybe does not currently offer geographic routing or performance-based routing as a generally available DNS feature.
- New Wrybe-managed registrations may be automatically delegated to Wrybe nameservers where supported.
- Wrybe may enable DNSSEC automatically where supported by the relevant domain, registrar, registry, and Wrybe DNS configuration.
- Switching to external nameservers disables Wrybe-controlled DNSSEC for that domain unless you configure DNSSEC correctly with the external provider and registrar.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of DNS records you create or approve.
- Incorrect DNS records may interrupt websites, email, APIs, SSL validation, or application traffic.
- DNS changes may take time to propagate across networks and resolvers.
- Wrybe may apply reasonable technical limits to protect platform performance, reliability, and security.
12. Security and account controls
You are responsible for protecting your Wrybe account credentials, enabling available security controls, limiting access to trusted users, and reviewing changes made to domain and DNS settings.
Wrybe’s platform is designed with security practices that support account protection, permission boundaries, infrastructure safeguards, and zero trust operating principles. However, you remain responsible for your own account activity, Authorized Users, DNS choices, and domain-related configurations.
- Use strong, unique credentials for your Wrybe account.
- Limit domain management access to users who require it.
- Review DNS, nameserver, transfer, and renewal changes before approving them.
- Contact Wrybe promptly if you suspect unauthorized domain activity.
For additional security information, please review the Wrybe Security Overview.
13. Registry, ICANN, and platform compliance
Your domain registration and use must comply with applicable registry rules, ICANN policies where applicable, Openprovider terms, law, and Wrybe policies. These rules may include requirements related to accurate registrant data, verification, dispute resolution, transfers, renewals, abuse handling, prohibited use, and acceptable domain name practices.
You agree that Wrybe may take actions necessary to comply with registry, ICANN, registrar, legal, security, or operational requirements. These actions may include requesting updated information, locking a domain, disabling DNS changes, suspending services, cancelling a registration request, correcting registration data, or restricting access to domain management features.
- You must not use domains for fraud, deception, infringement, unlawful content, security abuse, unsolicited messaging, or other prohibited conduct.
- You must respect intellectual property rights, trademark rights, privacy rights, and applicable naming restrictions.
- You must comply with Wrybe’s Acceptable Use Policy.
14. Domain disputes and required jurisdictions
You expressly agree to be bound by applicable domain dispute policies, including the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP), Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS), Transfer Dispute Resolution Policy (TDRP), registry-specific dispute policies, and any successor or additional policies that apply to the domain extension.
For disputes concerning a domain registration, you consent to the required dispute jurisdictions specified by applicable ICANN or registry policy, including the jurisdiction of the registrant’s domicile and the jurisdiction of the registrar’s principal office location. Where Openprovider is the registrar of record, the registrar-location jurisdiction may include the location identified by Openprovider in its applicable registration agreement or public registrar information.
Wrybe may suspend, lock, transfer, cancel, or otherwise restrict a domain when required by applicable policy, law, registry instruction, registrar instruction, dispute provider decision, court order, lawful request, or to protect platform integrity and users.
15. Licensing or use by third parties
If you license, delegate, lease, or otherwise allow another person or organization to use a domain registered or managed through Wrybe, you remain responsible for the domain, its registration data, its use, and compliance with this Agreement unless applicable registrar or registry records are properly updated to reflect a permitted change.
You are responsible for any harm, claims, losses, or policy violations arising from third-party use of a domain under your control, including where that third party is a customer, contractor, agency client, tenant member, or other Authorized User.
16. Fees, refunds, and unsupported paid services
Domain registration, renewal, transfer, DNS-related, and related fees are displayed where applicable in the Wrybe platform. Fees may vary by domain extension, registry, term, provider price, currency conversion, taxes, timing, and Wrybe markup.
Premium domain registrations, premium domain transfers, self-service redemption, and self-service restoration are not currently supported in Wrybe. If Wrybe later offers these services, applicable pricing and terms will be displayed before checkout where required.
Domain fees are often non-refundable once a registration, renewal, or transfer has been submitted or completed. For general refund terms, please review Wrybe’s Refunds Policy.
17. Beta platform notice
Wrybe is currently in beta. Domain management features are intended to provide an integrated experience inside Wrybe, but parts of the platform may change as we improve reliability, usability, compliance workflows, security, and service operations.
We welcome user feedback on domain workflows, DNS configuration, renewal settings, transfer flows, verification, and connection flows for websites, applications, and APIs. Feedback helps the Wrybe product team make domain management simpler and safer for individuals, startups, agencies, and enterprise teams.
18. Legal terms specific to domain services
18.1 Incorporation of Wrybe Terms
Wrybe’s Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and Refunds Policy are incorporated into this Agreement. If there is a conflict between this Agreement and the general Terms for domain-specific matters, this Agreement controls for those domain-specific matters unless applicable law, ICANN policy, registrar terms, or registry rules require otherwise.
18.2 Notices
Wrybe may provide notices by email, in-product notification, account message, support ticket, or by updating this page. You must keep your Wrybe account email address and domain contact email addresses current so that notices can reach you.
18.3 Warranty disclaimer
Domain services are provided subject to registrar, registry, DNS, network, and third-party systems. Wrybe does not warrant that a requested domain will be available, that a registration or transfer will complete, that DNS will be uninterrupted, or that a domain can be recovered after expiration, deletion, release, auction, or third-party registration.
18.4 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law and applicable domain policy, Wrybe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, loss of data, domain unavailability, failed renewal caused by insufficient account credit, registry action, registrar action, DNS propagation delay, or third-party system failure. Any monetary liability is limited as provided in Wrybe’s Terms of Service unless a non-waivable rule requires otherwise.
18.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wrybe, Openprovider, applicable registry operators, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your domain registration, domain use, registration data, Authorized Users, third-party domain licensing or delegation, policy violations, infringement allegations, or breach of this Agreement.
18.6 Assignment and severability
You may not assign this Agreement or domain-related rights without Wrybe’s prior written consent except as allowed by applicable transfer or Change of Registrant policies. Wrybe may assign this Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, change of registrar provider, or transfer of domain service operations. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
18.7 Governing law
The governing law and venue provisions in Wrybe’s Terms of Service apply to this Agreement, except where ICANN policy, registrar terms, registry rules, dispute policy, or non-waivable law requires a different forum, jurisdiction, or governing rule for a domain-specific dispute.
19. Changes to this Agreement
Wrybe may update this Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in law, registry rules, ICANN policies, registrar requirements, product capabilities, security practices, pricing, or platform operations. When material changes are made, Wrybe may provide notice through the platform, email, or an updated effective date on this page.
Continued use of Wrybe domain management after an updated Agreement becomes effective means you accept the updated terms. For accepted versions, Wrybe will retain an immutable copy or cryptographic content hash sufficient to verify the version presented for acceptance.
